About Arme Strong Personal Home Care

 

Our founder, Stacey Woods, is a licensed cosmetologist for over 26 years. She is also well versed in the field of healthcare due to her extensive training as a occupational therapy assistant for 8 years and earning her degree in Healthcare Administration. After turning 30, she came to the realization that she wanted to help and care for others on a deeper and more meaningful level.

In 2010, Stacey put her career on hold to care for her elderly, but ill father who eventually passed away in 2012. After his passing, she went back to college to receive another degree in occupational therapy that was inspired by her participation in his own therapy sessions. Following that, she worked in several skilled nursing facilities doing various duties such as carrying out care plans, discharging planning, equipment recommendations, maintenance and more while simultaneously building a great rapport with the seniors and families.

While building those connections with the people she served, she realized that they all shared one common thing: they would much rather be in the privacy and comfort of their own home while being cared for instead of institutions. She found that this decreased hospital visits, depression and overall anxiety for her residents. From her years of experience and realization birthed her business, Arme Strong Personal Home Care in 2022, which is a tribute to her late grandmother, Arme Bowens.
